What is an AND logic gate?

An AND logic gate is a logic gate that implements the AND Boolean function. You will identify an AND gate by its symbol. This is the symbol commonly used for an AND logic gate:

The AND logic gate has a truth table such that the output is true (i.e. 1) only when all inputs are true (i.e. 1). You can see that in the following truth table only the last line (line number 3) has all inputs equal to 1, so this is the only line for which the output is one.
